Our Innovation

              We organically produces lemongrass (Cymbopogon Flexuosus and Cymbopogon Citratus) and citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus and Cymbopogon nardus). We extract high quality essential oils and hydrosols using the distillation equipment designed by our very own Bienvenido Baligod. The machine is a proprietary distillation equipment that results to:

1. unequal purity of essential oil by product
2. cleaner than distilled water hydrosol by product
3. interchangeable distilling stills
4. requires no further cutting of leaves to 4-6 inches
5. reduced distillation time 2 hours, for every 500 kgs including loading and unloading of grass
6. therefore, reduced carbon footprint

              Gold In Grass Corporation (GIGC) is an organization built by brothers and sisters to uplift communities through a sustainable project. We have extended the farms to Sariaya Quezon and Lasam, Cagayan Valley.

The Quality of Our Products

Lemongrass essential oil

• has total citral (aldehyde) content of 76-84% depending on season of harvest
• Method: Gas chromatography

Lemongrass hydrosol

• potable
• cleaner than distilled water
• inhibits microbial growths due to its own properties
• Heterotrophic Plate Count (CFU/g); Result: <1.1; Method APHA 9215,1995 
• Coliform Count (MPN/100ml); Result: <1.1; Method APHA 9221, 1995

We don't cut corners.

Producing pure therapeutic grade essential oils is very costly.  It takes 1 ton of lemongrass to produce 2.2 liters of pure essential oil.  Low yield explains why it sells for PHP 6,000 to PHP 8,000 per liter.

It's not hard to find cheaper essential oils, but Essencia Essential Oils offer you more value for your money.

• We use costly, food-grade, stainless-steel. Copper or lower-grade steel react with the oils, chemically altering and reducing their therapeutic properties.
